Ken Sakamura (The University of Tokyo)

Ken Sakamura is professor of 'Computer Architecture' at the University of Tokyo and the director of the YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory in Tokyo. He is internationally known as the leader of the TRON project. TRON or "The Real-time Operating Nucleus" has been used in numerous everyday device such as mobile phone, digital camera, or automobile parts and is key technology in the development and implementation of his concept, Ubiquitous Computing. He is the winner of numerous awards including the prestigious Takeda Award. He is the author of "Ubiquitous Computing Revolution", "Global standard and National Strategy" and many others.
